Meet Our Staff
I was born and raised in southern Illinois before moving to North Carolina in 2004. Following an eight-year career as a molecular biologist, I followed the Lord’s call into full-time ministry in 2006. Having earned a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte, 2009), I became the Associate Pastor of Ambassador Presbyterian Church (ARP) in Apex, NC where my ministry focused on teaching, missions, and administration. My family moved to Granville, OH in October 2018 after I received a call to be the Senior Pastor at The Granville Chapel. We are excited to be among the church and community here, and it is my goal to lead God’s people in seeing and embracing the glory of Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives as I commit myself to the exposition of God’s Word and the cultivation of a passionate and purposeful gospel community.
In addition to my pastoral calling, I am also a missionary to West Africa involved in teaching Bible and theology courses one to two weeks per year to pastors and leaders in a national Presbyterian Church. I have also served on the Board of Directors of West African Reformed Mission (a ministry of MTW) since 2015.
I have been married to Megan (an RN at Licking Memorial Health Systems) since 2003, and we have two children, Abby Kate (9) and Benjamin(6). Though an avid indoorsman who loves to read, listen to music, spend time with my family, and watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball, I do venture outdoors for an occasional walk or ride on the bike.
Youth & Family Life Pastor
My wife, Melissa and I were married in 2003. We have four children; Caden, Lillian, Corbin, and Larkin. We are formally from Cleveland where I worked as a carpenter, missions pastor and guest speaker for Operation Keepsake teaching in Middle and High Schools about dating relationships. Melissa and I met at the University Dayton where we were both athletes, me in baseball and Melissa in Cross Country. We both grew up in faith with Campus Crusade for Christ. I also spent two years on staff with Cru. One year in Macedonia and one year at Miami University. As a family we love to play sports, travel, hike, garden, and hunt (except for Melissa). Our dream someday is to have a small farm. We are thrilled to live in Granville and serve at the Granville Chapel. The people at the chapel have become dear to us like family. I love being the youth and family life pastor especially when I get to lead in missions, adventures, the Fathers, and sitting across the table from anyone.
Kids Rock Coordinator
My husband, Andy, our two children and I joined The Granville Chapel family shortly after our move to Granville in 2011. In addition to my position as Kids Rock coordinator, I also teach 3rd grade at Granville Elementary School. I love spending my days with my students! My family and I feel blessed by my role in helping to organize the children's ministry at The Granville Chapel! In our free time, my family loves to visit with extended family and friends, vacation at the beach and relax at home.
My husband, Phil, and I live on the outskirts of Granville. Our 'homestead' is also home to a large garden, 2 dogs, 12 chickens, and 10,000 honey bees (give or take a thousand). I am blessed to serve as the administrative assistant at the Granville Chapel with a wonderful staff and amazing people. Some of my favorite things are visiting my family, traveling, quilting, sewing, gardening, and trying just about any creative medium I can find.
I was born in Dayton, Ohio, but moved to Granville in 2004, with my parents, sister and three younger brothers. I graduated from Granville High School in 2015, where I was extremely active in the music and drama departments, as well as the football team. After taking a gap year, I attended Groove U, a music industry school in Columbus. I graduated in August of 2018 with a degree in Music Industry Entrepreneurship. I was a member of my church’s praise team since 7th grade and became the worship leader at Rushville UMC from 2017-2018. I am excited to follow the Lord's calling into ministry at The Granville Chapel and to use the talents He has given me to help the congregation draw closer to the Holy Spirit through worship.
