This week at The Chapel we come to the fourth and final step in learning the Biblical language of Christian lament. First was turning to God in the midst of life’s heaviness; second was bringing our complaints humbly to God; and third was boldly calling upon God to act on our behalf. Now, we will turn to the testimony of Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 and see that the final step is choosing to trust in God’s purposes that lie hidden behind the pain we are enduring. This morning we continue this journey together and see that the often long and winding path between our current circumstances and coming hope is intended to have a repeated refrain – one of worshipful praise to our great and glorious God.
