Matthew 1:1-17; Luke 3:23-38 "An Unexpected Family" Sermon Series: An Unexpected Christmas

This week at The Chapel, we begin our new Advent series, “An Unexpected Christmas,” by taking a look at the genealogies of Jesus recorded for us in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. The people of Israel had long expected their Messiah to come and deliver them just as God had promised in His Word, but no one could have expected His family tree to take the shape that it had. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Dan explains Jesus’ earthly genealogy, and shows us how the redeeming power found throughout His family tree gives us hope for all the needs that lie within ours too.
